I'm used to creating icons with a separate icon for each image file. I've noticed that there are a couple of other techniques in use:
1. multi-page icons 2. multiple icons in one image I'm using some icons in a rev project of type 2. I think they are usually formatted by scrolling and clipping the overall image using CSS - and i guess I could do the same with an image in a group?
