Jan, You bring up an interesting point with suggesting a Windows port.

We feel the real target in the future is not desktop OS like Mac, Windows or 
Linux, but environments like Webkit which are finding their way into an amazing 
variety of devices.

Until that future arrives, we felt that to do a professional, commercial-level 
product, we had to focus on one desktop OS and really do it right. We were all 
Apple developers, with experience and the tools, so the Rodeo editor for the 
desktop was built for Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard using Xcode leveraging 
the translation CGIs built in revTalk and the data handling being done via PHP 
with our database.
