Sounds like a permissions issue. Check the permissions of the folder where the 
sound files get created. Get Info on the stack itself (if that's where the 
sound files are created) or the folder where the sound files get created (some 
kind of "scratch" folder I presume). They need permissions set to All Users 
read/write.
