Seems so obvious, I thought it useless to say it...

The disk info is only updated after the stack is saved, so it won't help. The question is: how to determine if the stack needs to be saved in the first place.


There isn't a generic method that I know of, except to track everything that could change the content of a stack and set a dirty flag.
