You might want to build a simple stack with default settings for all of the buttons, fields, and other objects you plan to use. See if the objects then conform to what you would expect for the individual platforms. From that point you could "tweak" individual objects to see whether the changes give the desired effect. Keep track of all of your changes, and you'll find out whether arranging/manipulating group characteristics has anything to do with your unexpected results.
