I am still a newbie here. I have been told that the 'send in time' is the best approach to this.
Read the documentation on 'send in time'. It is pretty cool.

put the seconds into Start
repeat forever
wait for 1 sec
put (the seconds - value(Start)) into field "Timer"
end repeat
of course the 'repeat forever' means nothing else can happen meantime
