This is a good idea. There's a product on Windows called Serious Magic Visual Communicator which does what you are talking about, except with both video and audio.

I don't have any direct experience with what you are attempting to do. But I do have some ideas on how I would go about solving this using Rev.

First, I'd check out Trevor's cool QT external at:

http://www.mangomultimedia.com/developer/revolution/index.html

and see if it couldn't fit the bill. If not, then I'd probably contact Trevor offlist and see if he couldn't customize it (for a fee) to do what is needed.

If that doesn't work, then I'd look at saving individual audio files and launching and openSource console app to concatenate them at the final build process. I'm not sure what platform you're on, but I'm sure there's something out there which can do this.
