I *did* vote for that bug several days ago. My votes are still there, and I quite agree that that is the best long term solution. But in the short term, its absence indicates that it is not a solution at all.

When you vote for Bugzila #624 at <http://support.runrev.com/bugdatabase/show_bug.cgi?id=624> so you can have the best long-term solution, you'll also find in the notes there that Kevin offers the odd but usable behaviors of the Rev script as the current workaround.
