Also, make sure that the proportions are the same in the reduced image as the original. This sometimes causes fuzziness.
If that does not work then try to import the image as a referenced image and not embedded.
Lastly, if none of that works then reduce the image to the correct proportions and resolution in Photoshop and then import (or reference) into REV. This should work.
