You can manually copy the external into the 'externals' dir in the same loc as the standalone (windows/UNIX) or in the Contents/MacOS folder inside the bundle for OS X.

This seems to suggest that 2.5 is not attaching libraries properly, (or at all). Has this been bugzilla'd?
