Gordon, Obviously the goal is to not have to go through any of this. All that anybody desires is the shortest amount of code to get from the seconds to the seconds in the current time zone. While the rest of this is interesting, it isn't simple. The goal is to make it simple, which ultimately requires some sort of help from the client machine that is executing the RR stack so that the proper offset to the seconds can be obtained.
