Scott see my rtf example... it is as bloated as an office application from which it came from - compare to Rev's rtf example (all in the previous mail)...
HTML would have been nice had it worked... but still, html from any Moft application is overkill, uberbloat, I agree... A little massage in the DiscreteBrowser I wrote last year might do the bloated text formatting some good... After I release the SpellNO2 (in about month - I want it to be 99.9% perfect)... I might do something about that... Since SpellNO2 does spellcheck clipboards, it might be interesting to start this sooner than later though cheers Xavier -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Scott Rossi Sent: Friday, September 23, 2005 10:06 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], How to use Revolution Subject: Re: Clipboard madness Recently, MisterX wrote: > Im not going to try with ultraedit, notepad, wordpad, metapad, > explorer, Iexploiter, Firefox, etc... but if it doesn't work with MS > office applications, all business users are going to have a problem > sooner or later. FWIW, have you ever been able to paste text from any MS app that applies formatting to text (such as Word)? I haven't tried in a long time because (years ago) when I initially tried to this, I found that MS adds so much formatting garbage to the text it was impossible to get clear text copied over and have since avoided it. I might be wrong here, but I believe Word adds more than just RTF or Unicode tags -- they add their own internal formatting which makes it difficult to parse. BTW, I've found NotePad and WordPad are usually fine because they do not add the formatting that apps like Word include.
