I think that if you look at the field 'image' it is actually an <img> tag.

--In the message box type
put the htmltext of field myField
-- to see the behind-the-scenes stuff (I know, techie speak)

The <img> tag requires a reference and this may be what you need to update
somehow, or make a copy of the image that can be referenced.
