The OS X application bundle needs to have several sub-folders. One of these is a folder called "Plugins" and inside that are four files, three of which determine the appearance of objects. In particular, your app's plugins folder needs to include:

jaguar_theme_support.bundle
panther_theme_support.bundle
tiger_theme_support.bundle
coreimage_support.bundle

If you have access to a native OS X build of Revolution, you can copy its plugins folder to your application and it should work.

There is a bug report about this in Bugzilla, but it was submitted by a Mac user building for OS X. Since the problem happens when building on a Windows machine too, you might want to add your comments so the team is aware:
