I just recently had some similar problems... the file
name of my stack was too long. e.g.
SomeReallyLongFileNameLikeThis.rev
would break on OSX because when rev makes
it's temp back up file, the file name is hashed
or some such thing... I really don't understand it
but when I changed it to
someShorterName.rev
problem went away.
