there also exist clones of the hyperCard like pythonCard http://pythoncard.sourceforge.net/ and someone long long ago started a similar project for Perl, 0 progress although so far... http://llamacard.org/ This is just my personal opinion based on ~10 years experience of coding in Perl, but given the rock-solid stability and flexibility of Perl engine (I would even say it is 99.9% bug-free and predictable) and number of modules available at www.cpan.org as well as absence of a comfortable card-style way to build GUI for perl apps (well there are others like Perl/Tk, module for Visual studio, Komodo etc...), this is still a worthwhile effort... Hmmm ;-)
