I could figure out work-arounds but wanted to understand why it was
happening. Like I said, my Rev brain has been parked for a while...
Time to go back and revisit Richard's stack on the subject!

There isn't one.
No. A handler in the other object would only trap the message. Whenever the
mouse enters any object, a mouseEnter message is passed. The first mouseEnter
handler found in the message path will handle the message.
