I would like to use Rev to build a prototype app that addresses a scanner
and a bar-code printer thru serial ports. The prototype will probably need
to run on a PC -- probably a handheld version of some sort that has USB or
COM ports.
Is this practical using Revolution? Other options are FileMaker and
REALBasic, but I really like the Revolution/TransScript environment.
What nightmares am I likely to encounter when trying to get printing to work
thru some sort of unusual print driver?
Also, it would be great if Rev supported the importing of SVG vector objects
-- yes, I was the one asking about creating complex 'isometric' polygons in
a previous thread 8-) -- is there any chance of this happening, or of a
third-party convertor or enhancement to the "import" command?
