I have not jumped into using Revolution yet - thought I would hold
off until I got a sense of the product by lurking on this list. I have
used hypercard (extensively) as well as other languages and currently
use RB. I noticed from the documentation that serial ports seem to be
supported for Windows and Mac applications but not Linux - is this
true? Will they be supported under OS X? There use is critical to the
application I am considering. Also, there seems to be a limitation on
the Mac to the Modem and Printer ports. Given that all new Macs really
don't have those ports and ports are typically added via USB devices
this seems an odd limitation - anyone know if future versions of
Revolution will provide general support for Mac serial ports?
