This is something that has just been brought up on the MetaCard list as
well, but in a different way. Keep in mind that the answer dialogue in
Revolution/MetaCard is *scripted*; it's a stack, just like any other. In
HyperCard and SuperCard, the answer dialog was run by C code through dialog
resources in the resource fork of the stack/project.
The question from the MetaCard list was this:

So the question is not "cmd-period doesn't work", it is "can cmd-period be
made to close modal windows"? I would hope that this is an IDE issue, and
not an engine issue.
