QuickTime has not been released for any variety of Unix -- until OS X came out. There
is speculation that now that QuickTime has been ported to one Unix, Apple might go the
rest of the way and release it for Linux, Solaris, etc. Apple has made no statement
one way or the other regarding this possibility.
