This is not an answer unfortunately, but more an add-to. On my Macs (OS
9.1), with either Rev 1.0 or Rev 1.1 alpha, there is VERY frequently the
disappearing insertion point problem. I notice this issue primarily in
script windows, but it CAN happen in pretty much ANY kind of field.
There is no recipe, and I would say that there is not insertion point about
25% of the time. The only thing that IS consistent is that some fields NEVER
show it, while others do - and then suddenly don't.
