I'm sorry, Ellen. I did not mean to alienate "hobbyists" with any comments
that I made. As one of the "professionals" you are referring to, I feel I
should again clarify the point that I DID make.
RunRev requested - appropriately, that comments and concerns regarding
pricing be directed to them, rather than the "use" list. You, and others -
everyone in fact, and certainly those who have paid money at any level,
absolutely have a right to an opinion. Always. "Developer", or not.
My point was only this - this list exists to help people USE the product.
Pricing debates only serve to glut the group with virtually ineffective
commentary (like this one - I apologize to the group).
In other words, your cause and concerns may be most effective if they are
directed to those empowered to "correct" them, rather than a group which is
principally made up of users of ALL levels, simply trying to help each other
along in the use of a new tool.
I am confident that you would find your "use" based questions to be attended
to as best the group can - without bias or consideration of your
self-declared "non-professional developer" status.
