Well, been working in Metacard all day, and only 2 freezes, neither of which caused any critical harm. Both happened when I was quitting the progam anyway, and freezed upon quitting.
There appears to be major differences between Metacard and Revolution as far as stability. This surprised me, as one was built upon the other. Both have features I like better than the other. Though by and far, Revolution has a better set of features (like the ability to sort the Control list by name, type, etc.) Neither lists an id number in that window, I think it should be there, as sometimes you have to refer to an object by id number, especially with multiple objects with the same name. I miss the multi-line message box that Revolution had. And while Metacard opened the Rev stack, it did not "remember" that I had changed the size of the stack since its initial creation in Metacard, and it shrunk the stack, causing me to manually relocate objects and resize the stack. But all in all, while Revolution has many more features, Metacard has the stability. Too much time is lost when you have to keep rebuilding pieces that got mangled. I will continue in Metacard for awhile, and see what happens. -- --Shareware Games for the Mac-- http://www.gypsyware.com http://www.gypsygames.com
