Useful Thing-

YTrayMagic Lite

What? You say your Windows Explorer shell crashed? Unbelievable!
You say you lost all of your tray icons, too? My goodness! I thought Windows
was more stable than that. ; )
Well, in the unlikely <g> event that the above situation happens to you,
this useful utility will restore your tray icons after a Windows Explorer
crash.

Here's what the author says about his program-
"Do you hate it when explorer(the windows shell) crashes and all those
little icons in the system tray(where the clock is) disappear leaving you no
way to access the programs? Many programs insert icons into the system tray
and hide into the background. When explorer crashes, all you can do is
Ctrl-Alt-Del and terminate them which is very unsafe and annoying. This
program is designed to restore the tray icons when explorer goes down. It
can automatically recover the icons when explorer is restarted or you can
configure it to recover the icons only when you press a combination of
hotkeys(eg. ctrl-alt-y). This program is designed to do just that therefore
it is very efficient and takes little system resources."

This program does NOT work on Windows NT
