Hi Rob, For our project, the default built-in controllers do not give as much fine-grained control over the cache as we would like. For example, setting the time-to-live and time-to-idle is not an option for the default controllers, but it is a project requirement. With EhCache, you can do just a little bit more than with the default caches.
