If you're using Spring 2.5.5 or higher and iBATIS 2.3.2 or higher, you can define mappingLocations when you define your SqlMapFactoryBean. This will allow you to load different XML files in different cases, included those contained in other jars.
Unfortunately I am not using Spring.Pity. This and the lack of constructor based bean mapping are really the only two bugbears I have with iBATIS so far.
