It is a Radeon. There have been other issues with Radeon's in the past,
expected them to be solved after so many years.

OK. There was more though, like different aspect ratio for the backdrop
image in OGL and in raytraced view. Perhaps this is related to the Ati card
too. I'll replace the card and will let you know if it re-occurs. Would a
Geforce of the 7 series improve OGL in RS3D or will any other Geforce with
sufficient memory do just as well?
