Hi Matteo,

I don't if this could help but, I used something to force a servlet, that 
receive data from a third party application, to store data to the repository.

I pass the credentials by url ?mgnlUserId=superuser&mgnlUserPSWD=superuser 
Then I trap the credential just like the FormLogin does

FormLogin formLogin = new FormLogin ();
formLogin formLogin.handle(request, response);

After that your HierarchyManager comes with the good rights to manipulate the 
repository
