Hi Kareem, the magnolia-empty-webapp is indeed an empty war file. It is used only as a base for creating any sort of custom bundle of Magnolia and as such contains only a bare minimum of modules. You can still deploy and install this war file though. All the modules which are in the WEB-INF/lib folder will during installation extract all they need (if they need to extract anything). If you want to make your own custom bundle I suggest you add the STK and all dependent modules, possibly including also demo-project to get some sample data.
