Hi Boris, In answer to your question: 1) Links on the existing site do not have extensions to the urls. Switching to urls with extensions would negatively impact the search and page rankings. In the eyes of search engines like Google the pages would appear to have moved or to be duplicated.
2) It means that our urls will always be platform independent. Changing technology does not mean remapping urls.
