Hi Saa'd, Is prod public instance configured as subscriber to prod author instance? In AdminCentral, go to /server/activation/subscribers to check. If you migrated all configuration verbatim from your dev environment, prod author instance might still be activating content to dev public.
magnolia-activation.log may have details. http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/administration/monitoring.html Also, Magnolia 2.1.5 is rather old.
