Hi James, if you added an index configuration file to your jackrabbit config in author you will have to do the same on the public instance. And yes, if you didn't had this parameter at the first deploy you will have to manually update all the workspace.xml files generated by jackrabbit in your (repository home)/workspaces/* folders. You will also have to delete your indexes and restart after that.
