Hi Jyotsna, You need to modify jackrabbit configuration files for both the author and the public webapps. Did you edit them both?

I edited the jack rabbit search xml for my sql and gave the appropriate connection string. Even then when I start Magnolia, it tries to connect to the Mysql on the local host and not the external DB.
