Hi. We have a requirement for which we don't know, if it is possible to implement in magnolia. Well, we even don't know, how to try. :-( Perhaps anybody out there can give us a hint.
I'll try to describe the requirement: We have a web portal, which has a start page and 3 section main pages. The 3 section pages have different topics. We have a "lead article" component which is used on the section pages. On each section page, the editor has to choose which 4 articles from the database should be shown there as lead articles. The editor can configure the component (blossom 2.0) and select the lead articles. The choosen config will be stored in jcr and when the section page is shown to the user, the lead articles are loaded from db. So far it is standard business. Now we have the requirement, that on the start page of the portal, the 3*4=12 lead articles from the section pages should be shown. So I think we have to use the lead article component three times on the start page. But, now the thing we don't know how to handle, the editor should not need to re-select the same lead articles as on the section pages for the lead article components of the start page. Instead the selected lead articles of the 3 section pages should be re-used. Now the question is: Is it possible to re-use the stored config of the lead article components on section pages for the lead article components on the start page? Or even more simple, can we reference the lead article components of the section pages on the start page? Any help would be very nice.
