Hi Vinod,

I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

Magnolia's imaging module supports "variations" of the images, with which you
can create thumbnails. The imaging module has its own cache, and stores the
generated thumbnails in the "imaging" workspace. Normally, there should be no
need to store a thumbnail back to DMS. When an image variation is requested the
first time, it is generated and then stored in the cache. Subsequent requests
for that variation will be answered from the cache. If the source image is
changed, the cache is updated on the next request.

What's the use case for writing the image thumbnail back to DMS?

Regards from Vienna,

Richard

I have placed an image of size 640 x 480 under DMS - /myFolder/myImage in jpg
format. I have successfully resized the image but i need to push the image back
to the dms repository by renaming it. Currently i am just getting a
generated-image link /myOperationChain/dms/myFolder/myImage/generated-image

where the resized image. IS there a way i can push it back to DMS repository.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
