This is simply the results of the concrete steps I took in exploring the
general approaches (eg: find the link, replace the UUID)

By using either the JCR Browser or AdminCentral "Website>" delete the
demo-project/members-area/profile-update.
Because through my trial and error and observation of logs using
Tools>LogViewer (magnolia-error.log) , I know that the Meta navigation area
contains an "Internal Link" to a "Profile Page." Prior to my deleting the
above "profile-update" it pointed specifically to that page. After deletion,
that Profile Page link simply contains the UUID that no longer applies.
Because Meta Navigation (seems) to be present on all pages in the demo-project
site, this error...
[code]freemarker.core.InvalidReferenceException: Error on line 14, column 5 in
templating-kit/components/pur/link.ftl cmsfn.link('website',
content.profilePage) is undefined.[/code]
...gets logged during any page navigation.
As recommended by other Magnolians, change that internal link for Meta
Navigation's Profile Page to a page that exists, and the error won't be logged.
(Unless of course that template 'pur/link.ftl' is used elsewhere to a
non-existent page.)
