Hi, I recently started with some friends a porting of STK module into an existing Twitter Bootstrap 3.1 template, as a "mini-training" lesson. Here the roadmap I gave them:
1) Download Twitter Bootstrap (3.1.1) 2) Choose a theme between the following list and "patch" TB: a. http://bootswatch.com/slate/ b. http://bootswatch.com/flatly/ c. http://bootswatch.com/spacelab/ d. http://bootswatch.com/superhero/ 3) Create a new Magnolia module (e.g.: theme-boot-superhero) 4) Clone the pop-theme (duplicate node), e.g.: theme-boot-superhero 6) Clone the standard-templating-kit directory in your module (copy / paste freemarker files) 7) Change the theme reference in demo project (from pop to theme-boot-superhero) 8) Start to change your cloned freemarker templates in order to match the required HTML structure a. Begin with page template (20+) b. Next: components (40+) c. Final: image variations (fix the sizes) d. Optional: optimize Magnolia green bars and vaading controls in admin central page app (they for sure will break your design, since they are not totally bug-free, right Basel team? 9) Don’t change dialogs 10) Don’t create a new website tree. Use the demo-project tree We extimated the change in 5 days for non-skilled people, but I think it can be easily done in 20 hours by a skilled Magnolia developer.
