If you want to translate to just single language you should be able to create property "label" directly in template definition and put translated name there.
Otherwise you are stuck with extracting message files from appropriate jars, fixing them and then placing them in WEB-INF/classes/<path-to-given-bundle> to make sure they take precedence over the ones in jars. If you have found any errors in translations provided by Magnolia it would be also great to contribute them back to get them included in the product and thus save you from having to maintain files with corrected translations yourself.
