Hello All,
I wanted to reach out to the magnolia community and find out what folks are
doing to handle the below mentioned situation:
We have a data model in which all the locales for that particular content node
is stored in the same node itself, so if we have the below mentioned content
structure:
Pages (folder)
|_______ Offer Pages (folder)
|______ 30monthoffer (content)
30monthoffer content node is storing the localized information for all the
locales, for sake of simplicity lets consider two en_US (US) and en_GB (UK)
So now if two different set of folks are working on this particular content
asset, one modifying US content and the other modifying UK content, both of
them need to be ready at the same time if this page has to be activated, thats
the problem.
What we are trying to figure out is how can a user while activating say, only
activate US content and not UK content as thats not ready yet.
One way to approach this would have been to have them completely separate of
each other, so 30monthoffer-us content node and 30monthoffer-uk node, but in
that case we loose out on the associativity of these nodes that they are
translations of each other (and we need to preserve that association).
Has anyone been able to figure out selective locale activation without
activating the entire node?
Any pointers or information at this point would be helpful.
Thanks
