Hi Matias Ramos If you change security settings for a user. The user must logout and login in order to fetch a new session which will contain the adapted security settings. No server restart required. (Otherwise it would be a bug.)
If you are using [i]magnolia-rest-tools[/i] with its swagger REST Api browser, you most probably will have to set the [i]apiBasepath[/i] property in the configuration (see https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS/REST+module#RESTmodule-SettingtheAPIbasepath).
