Hi all:
Sorry I asked this question befor but I didn't get any answers.

we are using magnolia 2.1.5 to build and maintain our site.
Our website is for kids so it is full of multimedia material (flashes ,pictures ...), and more are added everyday.

The number of my pages are also growing (>450) , therefor magnolia has become very slow, and dealing with admincentral nodes is taking much time.

Our site pages are divided to boxes and every box is a paragraph so when I want to change a material in my page I change the content of this paragraph and then activate it to the public instance.

What I noticed is :
After we change a material like a picture for example and some text ,I exported this page to xml file and opened it in a text editor and I was surprised to see the old text and the binary data for the old picture .

I tried again for another examples and the same results, so my conclusion is that jcr doesn't delete the old content from the repository files and just hides it ,causing large waste space on the server (the magnolia directory has exceeded 1GB) and slowness in reading the repository content .

also when we want to build a node in the admin central ,we usually copy another node with the same template and edit the content of this node but it seems that the old content is still exist in the xml file.

So I was wondering how to remove that old content from the new nodes and is there any good solutions to this problem .

thanks in advance
