Well, tried (with both jackrabbit 1.0 and 1.0.1), and.... Nothing changed :(

When I kill magnolia's user or stop the server, and try to load a page, the 
generated exception is 'java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe'. In my stupid 
program is EOFException when I kill the user, SocketException when the server 
is down. But, on both cases, the first try does not reconnect, but the second 
one does! And everything runs normal...

I'm this close to forget MySQL test BDB... I just don't know if it will be 
better than Derby...
