Thanks.

Hopefully future web updates will be less drastic -- ie page at a time instead of whole site down to be replaced by an incomplete one. Looks like my best documentation once again is the source code. :-(

Hi,

Sorry for this confusion, we have these documented but unfortunately not yet published.
You will hear from us soon.

Please note that the magnolia documentation cached at web archives is not valid anymore for 3.x

Thanks and regards,

Me too - any documentation at all would be useful. The only stuff I've managed to find anywhere is the google cache of the URL David mentions.

I have some basic questions :
The documentation talks about "uninstalling" a module but there doesn't seem to be any way to do this through the Magnolia UI. How do I debug the module registration process ? Since I can't work out how to uninstall my module I've been having to go through manually deleting changes it seems to make to web.xml etc. The page i found mentions a "magnolia.development" property and says I should set it - where do i set this property (in the magnolia config ?) and what exactly does it do ?

The maven module archetype mentioned in the wiki seems broken - it didn't work at all when i first created it - seemed to have trouble finding repositories. I don't know much about Maven, but i tried copying the repository definitions from the pom.xml files of the main Magnolia project and it worked better, though it still couldn't download the JCR jar - I had to manually download and install that (though it rather impressively gave me the URL and told me how to do it - I'm starting to like Maven).

Hi.

I was recently looking at a page at http:// magnolia.sourceforge.net/30/advanced/modules.html that had some basic high-level info on writing modules for magnolia. It's gone now, over-written with a brief "go see documentation.magnolia.info". The new site doesn't have any documentation on writing a custom module (or any other nuts-and- bolts stuff). Can anyone offer some hint as to where I can find good docs on writing a module for magnolia?

Thanks
