hello everyone.
I've just released a new version of the MagTags library at http:// www.noodleglue.org/noodleglue/magtags.html The new release is now a Magnolia module, which makes it a lot easier to install. I've also fixed some bugs (including a bad one which could cause the wrong pages to be iterated in the PageIterator tag). PageIterator has been renamed to TreeIterator to avoid confusion with the built-in Magnolia PageIterator tag and it's now much more powerful - you can specify an iteration order based on a property of the page, for instance (even metadata like the modification date).
I'd be interested to see if anyone finds them any use.
Thanks to Kevin Smith for submitting an earlier patch to some of the incompatibilities with Magnolia 3 - and sorry it took so long to get this out the door.

As an aside - most of the tags in magnolia retrieve pages and nodes and properties and store them in a user-specified variable, whereas the equivalent Magnolia tags generally set the "active page". Personally, I find the "active page" method quite confusing and difficult to use, because you need to remember to restore the active page, and you can't easily nest loops etc. I'm wondering why the magnolia tags choose to work this way - am I missing something important in the way that Magnolia works somehow and wasting my time here ?

Also - i tried editing the wiki to add a reference, but I don't seem to be able to log in - is there a problem with it at the moment ?

josh
