Hi,
I'm resending this, from a couple of days ago. It seems the list
ignored my email (probably because gmail defaults to HTML) and doesn't
send any error.

I've been rebuilding several web sites which I am hosing on a VPS for
a few years on top of the community edition. Anyway after rewriting
all the content on Magnolia I'm afraid that maybe this past couple of
weeks has been for naught and I can't use Magnolia.

Several things are giving me grief but the biggest problem by far is
the fact that I can't seem to figure out virtual hosts for more than
one site. There is this:
http://www.magnolia.info/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=TomcatVirtualHosts

Which as far as I can tell explains only about one site+the admin
site. Fine by me. But then how would I deploy the same WAR to more
than one root?

From the example:

www.example.com/magnoliaPublic
www.example.com/magnoliaAuthor
to
www.example.com (public)
author.example.com (author)
What I want is:
www.example.com/magnoliaPublic/example
www.example.com/magnoliaPublic/aaa
www.example.com/magnoliaAuthor

to
www.example.com (public)
www.aaa.com (public)
author.example.com (author)

Can someone confirm that it is indeed possible to run a single tomcat
instance and one deployed WAR that points to something like this?

I tried running using the current virtual hosts solution I have an
JBoss but more than one Magnolia instance just breaks the permgen
space which would mean I would have to increase my hosting costs
considerably (due to the memory occupied by Magnolia).
I tried using a filter to implement virtual hosts myself but it
collides with Magnolia for some reason and it just doesn't work (404
for all the pages).

In the meantime I tried to follow the instructions here:
http://www.nabble.com/Any-reason-not-to-do-multiple-sites-in-one-magnolia--t678870.html

To allow the editors of the site to have their own username/passwords,
but the problem is that this doesn't work. When I try to login as an
editor I can't see the docroot directory. I tried granting the editor
user the superuser permission but this doesn't help (I get a 403). I
have absolutely no idea... Maybe its because I created all the content
as super user?

Thanks.
