Hi, We have been using Magnolia CE 3.0.2. Currently analyzing and looking into Magnolia trying to find a solution to the following scenario so we can rely on just Magnolia itself for site portal and user management. We have investigated other options such as portal bridges, site integration with portal solutions and other hybrid scenarios however we want to continue using just Magnolia because of the JSR 170 architecture and clean separation of business and presentation layers.
What we are looking for is a solution similar to web portal content management system where the content management system can handle many individual sites and handle user management enabling Magnolia for the following scenario: 1. Users can create sites within magnolia, Magnolia automatically creates a site page for the user. eg, User A is created, and then magnolia creates a site www.<domain.com>/site1/usera 2. This site would have unique ACL and content unique for user A who manages the site as if they were the editor. We have created our templates, paragraphs and dialogs however what we find is that we have to manually create each site and define unique ACLs for each user and site permission. This is becoming an arduous task especially when we have many users interested in having their own pages and site. Is there a technique or method to investigate further so this process of site creation and defining ACLs can be automated? The same also applies to user management, if User A was to manage their own list of users to their site, how is this possible in Magnolia (eg, User A has created their own site, now wants to manage a unique list of users to access their site)? Thanks for your help and assistance, ES ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://documentation.magnolia.info/docs/en/editor/stayupdated.html ----------------------------------------------------------------
