Just because there's not much reaction to your posts does not mean
that nobody is interested in the topic ;-)
As a matter of fact we're struggling ourselves to get the trunk to
build and run and bootstrap propperly at the moment, so we're
following your steps very closely. Maybe it would be a good idea if
you would add your findings to http://www.magnolia.info/wiki/Wiki.jsp?
page=IntroductionToBuildingMagnolia. We'll do the same... as soon as
we have something working.

this variable tag ${project.version}.
During the bootstrap, when magnolia encouters this string it
replaced it with (dev). But the problem is then it tries to parse
the version "number" with this function Short.parseShort("(dev)");
Of course an exception raises, and the second restart of the
bootstrap fails.
Is there anyone who knows how to bypass this problem?
