Hello,

We are running magnolia 3.0 Enterprise edition with the derby db
backend.

We recently encountered problems with templates not being recognised in
magnolia. This ocurred on an isolated magnolia author instance with no
subscribers configured.

The JSP files were in the template directory and the relevant XML node
had been created to refer to the template. However after restarting
tomcat the content was still not displaying according to the new
template.

To resolve this we had to 'touch' the relevant template files and then
they were picked up magnolia. Is this normal behaviour or is this a bug
in magnolia 3.0 ?

We have a cache/mgnl-cache directory which we need to delete sometimes -
is there a way to control this cache through AdminCentral ?

There is also a cache section in the configuration xml in AdminCentral,
but the active flag is set to 'false' So I assume this is something
different to the mgnl-cache directory ?

Finally - what effect does the cache have on performance ? Are there
different cache implementations ?

Any advice much appreciated !
