We are looking for ways to include web application parts into a Magnolia
CMS. We have a part of our webpage that users can personalize. This part
includes interaction workflows that include multiple steps. Imagine
something like a ticketing application embedded into one paragraph of a
page. We would like to know what our best options are for implementing
such functionality in Magnolia.
What we understand so far is the main ways to extend Magnolia with
custom paragraphs is either through servlets or JSPs. JSPs however are
only a view technology and servlets in paragraphs are limited (i.e. they
can do no redirects). What are our best options to integrate web
frameworks or a control layer that models work flow over multiple pages
and does input validation? We understand that in version 3.5 some hooks
have been added (ParagraphRenderer, ...) to make such integration
easier. Is there anywhere documentation and concrete examples on how to
do this?
